My name is Megan Currie and I created Napa Valley Translation Company to provide specialized language services for the food and beverage industry. I work from French and Spanish into English.
Since 2013, I have been helping organizations operating in the food and beverage sector to present their messages in clear, concise and flawless English.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in French and Spanish from the University of Edinburgh (UK), and a Master’s in Interpreting and Translating from Heriot-Watt University (UK). I am also a member of the Northern California Translators’ Association.
Translating for the food and beverage industry requires specialist knowledge and understanding of its unique processes and issues. I have spent the last four years working in this sector, from interpreting for agronomic institutions to translating cookbooks for such prestigious Michelin-starred chefs as Pierre Gagnaire and Quique Dacosta, giving me the expertise and specialist vocabulary required to ensure the faithfulness, accuracy and readability of my translations.
